MURRAY, Ky. — Services for Marlene Slaughter Roberts, 71, of Almo will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Rolen and Oatman Farley officiating. Burial will be at Murray City Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts died at 1:51 p.m. Wednesday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
She was an administrative assistant for the Murray school board, a member of First Christian Church of Murray, a certified professional secretary and a member of the Murray Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, which she served as former president and was named secretary of the year.
Surviving are her husband, Hugh L. Roberts; two daughters, Teresa Bruce of Salt Lake City and Anne McGregor of Topeka, Kan.; two sons, Ken Slaughter and John Slaughter, both of Almo; one sister, Lily Sheehan of Green Valley, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ken Slaughter; two sons, Len Slaughter and Kelly Roberts; and one brother. Her parents were L.C. English and Evelyn Eddings English.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
