SYMSONIA, Ky. — Meagan Beth McManus and Wesley O’Neal Smith were united in marriage Jan. 12 at Symsonia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Music was presented by Jamie Wigginton, pianist and vocalist; and Stacy Puckett, vocalist.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Tammy McManus of Symsonia. The groom is the son of Mike and Dottie Smith of Smithland.
The bride chose Jenna Heath of Symsonia as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Virginia Taylor of Jackson, Tenn.; Valerie Reeder of Paducah; and Nicole McManus of Symsonia. Hannah Avery, daughter of Matt Avery and Amanda Golightly, both of Smithland, served as the flower girl. Ringbearer was Cade Butler, son of Greg and Jodi Butler of Mayfield.
The groom chose Michael Ahart of Paducah as his best man. Groomsmen were Logan Smith of Smithland, brother of the groom; Jordan McManus of Symsonia, brother of the bride; and Nathan Cruse of Mahomet, Ill. Serving as ushers were Ross Keith and Caleb Merrell, both of Mayfield.
A reception followed. Courtney Coley of Paducah attended the guest register.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Graves County High School and a 2007 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed by Western Baptist Hospital.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Livingston Central High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2006 from Murray State University, where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing. He is employed by Lourdes hospital.
The couple resides in Hickory.
