Golda Beaman, 97, of Paducah died at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Mrs. Beaman was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and a charter member of Baptist Tabernacle before it disbanded.

Surviving are sisters-in-law, Martha Beaman Laurien of Phoenix and Margaret Beaman Mays of Rockford, Ill., and five generations of nieces and nephews, including Sara Ramage Rogers and Patricia Ramage Henson, both of Paducah, Harriet Ramage Taber of Reidland, and Arminda Ramage Sanders of Boaz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Huie “Pete” Beaman; one sister; and six brothers. Her parents were Alfred Lucian Ramage and Sarah Frances Timmons Ramage.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Broom officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Private family burial will be Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Maplelawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Her nephews and great-nephews will serve as pallbearers: Danny Ramage, Greg Ramage, Michael Ramage, Phillip Ramage, Richard Ramage, Kyle Rudd, Leon Story, Todd Taber, Larry Thorning and Barry Beaman. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Gray, John Barker, Ted Frostenson, Clyde Lawter, Rick McCombs, John Brandon Price, Kent Price, Ron Henson, Martis Ramage, Tom Russell, Bill Schroeder, Steve Shaw, Tommy James Gleason, Kenneth Brown and Leroy McKlemurry.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Market House Museum, P.O. Box 12, Paducah, KY 42002; or the Immanuel Baptist Church Youth Deparment, 3465 Buckner Lane, Paducah, KY 42001.
