Kendrick leads Lady Cards over Warriors

At Mayfield, the Lady Cardinals took an early lead and held off Community Christian to pick up the 51-38 girls basketball

win on Saturday.

Samiya Kendrick led Mayfield with 20 points; Sam Looper picked up the double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Payton

Carter led the Lady Warriors with 12.

the ball to start the game but still found itself trailing 25-8 at the half. The Raiders pressed in the third quarter to speed

things up and outscored the home-standing Eagles 20-0 to take a commanding 45-8 lead into the final frame.

10 rebounds but missed the double-double by a point.

Dee Cain scored 21 to lead the Tigers and he grabbed 10 rebounds. Eli Pepper and Elijah Sindelar each scored 17. Pepper also

recorded a double-double with 11 boards.
