Paducah Water studying a new filtration system

Violations of federal drinking water standards in 2014 and 2015 led the Paducah Water Board to authorize a feasibility study for a new filtration system which is now underway. The Environmental Protection Agency allows for up to 0.080 milligrams per liter of total trihalomethanes (TTTM). Paducah Water does quarterly testing at eight sites in its system.
